Distinctive features:

Physical description:

One pair of nasal and orbital cirri. Eye and nasal cirri simple, either unbranched or with 1 branch. Club-like tubercles on front of head.

Colouration:

Brown with cream markings across lower jaw, below and behind the eye. Midflank with ~7 dark blotches with adjacent white marks and spots.
Mating males: blackish on head and body.

Size:

Reaches 4.5 cm.

Habitat:

Found in empty barnacles on rocky reefs.
