Physical description:

One pair of nasal and orbital cirri. Eye and nasal cirri moderately branched.

Colouration:

Dark brown with a dark roughly eye-sized blotch behind the eye. Rows of elongated pale dashes and spots along the body, with males having smaller but more frequent marking. Fins have columns of dark speckles.

Size:

Reaches 5.4 cm.

Habitat:

Found in holes in rocky areas, often in turbid, occasionally brackish, water.
