Physical description:

Very elongate body. No cirri. Eye is large.

Colouration:

9 pairs of 2 spots starting from behind the pectoral fin. Black mark behind the eye, sometimes two. Branchiostegal membranes black. Dorsal fin is lightly pigmented with a black spot between spines II and III.

Size:

Reaches 11.0 cm.

Habitat:

Likely found in bottoms with softer sediment such as sand.

Known from depths greater than 60 m
