Distinctive features:

  1. Heavily branched cirri.
  2. Row of papillae between eyes.
  3. Black blotch on front dorsal fin.

Physical description:

One pair of nasal and orbital cirri. Orbital cirri unevenly branched in one plane with many projections. A row of 3-6 papillae between eyes.

Colouration:

Head green to yellow and body a light brown to translucent. Heavy black dotting and larger white spots on head and body. Grey-brown patch on front of dorsal fin with a orange edge along the front border and a large black blotch spanning the initial 3/4 of the coloured section.

Size:

Reaches 4.5 cm.

Habitat:

Found in limestone slopes and in patchy reefs with small corals.
