Simple eye and nasal cirri.
Eye and nasal cirri white. Front of dorsal fin white, can be mottled with black and green.
Males: body dark - dark green, dark brown or black. Often lighter on top of head. Face with multiple thick white stripes running vertically along cheek and white blotches on lips. Top of head with sparse white dots. Body with a continuous row of white spots along midflank. Messy rows of white spots along upper and lower body by base of dorsal and anal fin respectively.
Females: very translucent with a brownish vertebral column with white dashes. Black blotches on lower body. Thin white stripes on cheek. Lips with white and black stripes. Top of head with blue spots.
Reaches 3.1 cm.
Found on rocky areas, especially on boulders.
Males of C. angelicus have long, yellow cirri and the front of the head red. Female C. angelicus have a broad white band behind the eye, while C. boehlkei have thin diagonal white stripes.
Males and females of C. boehlkei have diagonal white stripes on the cheek and lips and white cirri. Males of C. micropes has white spots following a line and black cirri. Female C. micropes have diagonal black lines on cheek.
